Like many of you here in the US and other parts of the world, I have caught soccer fever. My enthusiasm was not diminished by the recent showing of our national team. After all, when you have an outstanding team such as ours, who would have expected such an outcome. Undoubtedly it was a fluke, just one of those unexpected things. So, just to show my support for the sport and the U.S. team, I’ve decided to create a soccer ball and share my enthusiasm with you. This is a step-by-step tutorial which will show you how I made my soccer ball. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you encounter problems, or have additional questions.

I use Xara X to create all of my web graphics. You should be able to reproduce my soccer ball in other graphic programs using the general guidelines presented here. However, the specific directions for replicating my soccer ball will be particularly useful to those using Xara. I am a confirmed Xara user, because with it I can create high quality graphics and meet all my needs for all web applications, with the flexibility and at a cost that is simply impossible to beat. If you haven’t tried it yet, maybe you should give it a trial run.
