Step 1:

Draw a circular shape (I made mine 100 pixels in diameter.) I used the Ellipse Tool in Xara, and made a clone of the shape, since I will need this same shape again later. You can simply cut and paste it several times.

Step 2:

Draw a six sided polygon, (I made mine 69 x 50 pixels) and used the QuickShape Tool in Xara.). I then arranged the polygons as shown in the illustration (see Fig. 1). You will need 19 of these. If you are using Xara you can clone them:

  1. Select the object, by clicking on it.
  2. From the Edit menu , choose Clone (CTRL+K).
  3. You could also use the copy command, and then paste.

As you can see from the illustration (see Fig. 1), I used white as my base color for 12 of the polygons, and red for the remaining 7 polygons. Hover your mouse on any of the images to see an enlarged view. You can select to use other colors, if you wish.
